Microsoft Stock Rises as Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands to Vehicles
Microsoft shares edged higher Tuesday following an announcement from its Xbox division about a strategic expansion of cloud gaming services. The tech giant revealed a partnership with LG Electronics to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to select vehicles via LG's webOS Automotive Content Platform.
The collaboration enables passengers to stream hundreds of Xbox titles during road trips or while waiting for electric vehicle charging. Popular games like Forza Horizon 5 and upcoming releases such as The Outer Worlds 2 will be available, with the service designed to comply with driving safety regulations.
Microsoft stock gained 0.15% on the news, continuing its 19.02% year-to-date rally. The MOVE represents another step in Microsoft's strategy to expand gaming accessibility beyond traditional platforms.
